Saul’s Station #2 (7/7/22)

Posted by Scott Goldfarb on

Well I was wrong.  In the last edition of Saul’s Station I stated that G & A had  “.... the best team we have had in the 24 years that we have been in business”.  I was wrong.  I was wrong because we added two new additions to our crew.  First and most importantly , our son Scott and his wife Lindsay had a beautiful baby girl on July 4.  Welcome to the Goldfarb family Hallie Madeline.  Seven pounds, 6 ounces of amazing.  She will likely stage her own coup on Scott in 20 or 30 years.  In addition, we hired  Parish Rodriguez as our newest warehouse associate.  Parish is off to a great start, working his butt off in week #1.   We badly needed more help in the warehouse, as material is coming in at a very high rate.  We are hoping to grow our company even more in the next few months with the addition of a new Purchasing Manager.  If anyone knows of a suitable candidate, we would appreciate your sharing of this link G & A Purchasing Manager Position.

Another major part of Goldfarb & Associates over the last 18 years has been the addition of the Big 4 (now Big 3).  Who are they?  What do they do?  The Big 4 are my Dad, Marty and my step Mom Barbara (team members since 2013), my sister-in -law’s Aunt, Linda Diaz (team member since 2004 and my old friend Louis Wolf (team member from 2013-2020, now retired).  All of the Big 4 had successful careers before joining G & A.  Marty and Louis had long successful careers in the core business.  My Dad with his company Capitol Core and Louis at American Auto Parts in Chicago.  Barbara was a real estate mogul for many years and Linda has been a lifelong salesperson and cat lover (against company policy).  These 4 have been instrumental in G & A’s success.  They are purchasing agents, salespeople and fantastic representatives of our company brand.  Old school work habits can still have huge results and we love having them as members of G & A.  Although they do call quite a bit…….They have been working remotely from Florida, Chicago, Pennsylvania and now California from the start, even before it was fashionable.  Again, you can see what they look like at https://goldfarbinc.com/pages/our-company.

So what else is going on at G & A this month?  Quite a bit.  Karla Marroquin and Kevin Bustamante will be off to exhibit at the PAACE Automechainka Show in Mexico City July 13-15 https://ina-paace-automechanika-mexico-city.us.messefrankfurt.com/mexico-city/en.html

Please visit with them if you are attending the show.  They will be at booth #3533.

Saul and Scott will be attending AAPEX/SEMA November 1-3, 2022.  Watch for a major announcement coming out at the show.

We have large quantities of new turbochargers and pumps coming in over the next few weeks.  Please be in touch with us if interested in lists from these inventories.

Are you having trouble sourcing STANADYNE pump component parts?  Why not buy STANADYNE DB2 and DB4 pump cores and harvest the parts from there?  We usually have hundreds of these pump cores in stock.  Give us a call and see what we have.  A pump core is an economical way to find component parts that are not available new in the aftermarket.  We inspect these pump cores to make sure the housings are good, and the shafts turn.  Give us a call!!.

Another very inexpensive way to harvest parts is to buy damaged units.  Units that are locked up or  have damaged housings still have valuable parts such as linkages or internal components.  These parts sell for 25% of the cost of good cores.  Contact us for more information.

We very much appreciate your business.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you and your business.
